With a thriving music culture in Melbourne and a recognised demand for artist development within the community The SoundLab was born; an epic warehouse event space and state of the art music tutorial studio situated in the heart of Melbourne, Prahran.

Founded by Leah Gallin Marketing Manager for Australian Musical Imports, the distributors of the Gibson family of brands and the Gallin's Guitar & Musician's Pro Shop chain of retail outlets across Australia. The SoundLab is a welcome extension as the official tuition studio of the Gallin’s Guitar Group for Melbourne.

Sessions are available in Guitar, Keys, Drums and Vocals; all gear is supplied the place is decked out in hi-end equipment such as Epiphone Guitars, Yamaha Keys, Roland Electronic Drum Kits and Rode Microphones. Our students are instructed by our teachers in the studio, run silently by the cutting edge Roland Jamhub outfit.

The Soundlab currently offers Group and Individual Sessions, where discounts are available the more sessions you purchase. With a maximum of 6 students in a session and longer session times, you’ll find our Group services are a great affordable alternative, however, we do offer Individual Sessions for those that require a more personalised approach.

From time-to-time we also run Workshops geared toward the technical and stylistic elements of performance and Masterclasses that offer access to high profile Australian and international artists.

A large contemporary space, with flexible room configuration The Soundlab can also adapt to a variety of event situations; especially, themed music events, product launches & showcases, exhibitions, fashion parades, photographic shoots and more.
