Trevor Davies (Director), a Primary/Junior Secondary/Special Education Teacher, with 27 years teaching experience in Australia and overseas, became concerned at the number of students lacking the basics in Maths and English.

Back to Basics Education Centre has become a very successful tutoring centre specializing in private one to one tuition. Since 1998 thousands of students have been through the centre with fantastic results. Not only in their academic results but also positive changes in attitude to learning and confidence to tackle tasks. This success is illustrated by waiting lists and the large number of referrals from schools, parents and students. "The success and confidence gained can be quite life changing."

The same style of private, relaxed, structured lessons, that have been so successful at the centre, are now available as short pre-recorded online videos.
