Another huge factor is the shopper can only print that coupon to their home printer (if they have one). How cool is it if they can instantly send a Voupon to their phone for free and store it! Business also gets an administration area where they can manage multiple coupons and track all of their results with details analytics. – Business pay nothing unless shoppers are requesting their offers! This is truly the next generation of “Coupons”

Retailers are “capturing” their elusive, on-the-go customers with Mobile Marketing programs designed to deliver real-time advertising in consumers’ pockets

Today, the marketing budget of retailers has to be much more diversified than it was a decade ago. Traditional media has fallen fast in its position of effectiveness and this has forced retailers to accept that the consumer is in greater control than ever before.

Consumers today are on the move. And they rely on their cell phones to keep them informed and organized. Presently in Australia, 80% of the population uses a mobile phone, and over half of those mobile subscribers regularly use text messaging.

Contrary to popular belief, the profile of frequent text messages is not limited to teenagers anymore. More and more, text messages mirror the typical high-value retail customer. They are mostly adults 35 and over.

All of the above have made text messaging the obvious choice for the next medium which retailers must manipulate if they want to keep in touch with their target consumers. Text message advertising can reach these consumers right in their pocket.

Restaurants have taken advantage of the immediacy of text messaging. For example, if a restaurant has quiet times of the day or week they can log-into Voupons and set multiple Voupons to target quite times. They can set a buy a meal and get one free to try and fill a quiet time. They can also do this at no cost and no weekly fees.

A marketing campaign which includes text message advertising and mobile coupons can be implemented so quickly and efficiently that it can help companies be the first to market, and is less intrusive than other methods. It also makes them stand out from their competitors. Because it is an opt-in program, customers are expecting the message which improves the response. Text message advertising is truly the next wave in retail promotion.

How Text Message Marketing Works

Text message marketing is a new way for business owners to market to their customer base at a time of your choice. Today, they have the ability to market to its customers any product or service you choose and in the future may be something totally different.

First a text message marketing campaign, an employer needs to find a provider that offers a fair price and the text of a message package that suits your current needs, but allow them to grow. There are many companies to choose from on the internet. Many of these companies are Internet based, which means they only go to get help online or by phone. Personally, I think is a better option to work with a company that provides a sales representative will be able to walk you through the process of a text marketing campaign. This person will be able to help you operate your back office internet and give you ideas for the promotion to send to their customers.

Look for a company that has a short code that can be easily remembered. What is a short code? Is the five digit number that the customer text “keyword” so that they can choose to text message marketing campaign. If you have a small code that is not easy to remember, you can choose to have a low rate.

You will want to promote your text message marketing campaign for its customers. Promote it can be as simple as hanging a few signs on the cash register, on each table and the windows that say “text (name of company) to 55,555 and discounts, coupons and other free stuff.” Thus it is very effective for companies with an audience younger than the use of text messages a lot.

Other companies that want to offer an incentive for customers to opt in. For example, a pizzeria could offer a free small pizza when a client connects to your mobile Club VIP. Try marketing your campaign as a VIP Club and mobile clients know that they will get discounts, exclusive coupons and free gifts for members only.

You will have to promote his campaign. Advertising in any medium now advertise your business. Like the phone book, newspaper, Internet and even in the back of the shirts of their employees wear.

At first, the name of the game is to collect telephone numbers. Once you have about 50 numbers, start sending your first text message. The biggest piece of advice I can give is the message has to be good. You have to give your customers a heck of a deal. Remember, you are advertising in one of the most personal way possible, in the palm of his client. Give them some real good value. “Buy one pizza at regular price and get a second equal or lesser value free. Today only! EXP 08/08/2010″

Once you start sending text messages, the game begins to change. You are still trying to get more numbers, but now you have to bring as many customers through the door as possible. When the client begins to get good deals on their marketing campaign messages, you start talking to your friends. Therefore, attract new customers. The major objective is the brand of your company in the mind of your customer. You want to think about their restaurant before they think hamburger at McDonald’s or Burger King. Text message marketing is not all.

See the number of messages being sent. I would recommend no more than two a week. Too many could cause customers to begin to opt out because they find the amount of text messages to be a bit of a nuisance.

If you are sending a message a week and your list of numbers is about 500 and the package only allows for 2,000 messages, then it is time to consider upgrading to the next higher package. Remember, if your list number is growing, then you’re doing something right. Do not be afraid to climb the next packet. When you make that move, means that they have increased their income and are in a position to increase further.

Once you get the hang of it and start climbing with great offers for customers, it becomes a simple and fun. Remember, the only way a text message marketing campaign can fail is if you do not give customers a good relationship with all the texts you send. Always give a good relationship. These are your most loyal customers!
